About Us

This court heard from the owner of Kwawaku Day Care center, Violet Kisamo, who testified that she cares for infants (3 months old) to before and after school programs and that she has a preschool and teaches them lessons. Ms. Kisamo testified that while her business is called a Day Care Center, it is also a place of learning. Not just a place to keep children. [N.T., August 18, 2011, p. 16].

Ms. Kisamo testified that children in her care begin learning while they're infants, that as toddlers they learn their colors and shapes. The children are taught how to write their names and their ABC's, and eventually learn the more complicated shapes, manners and behavior, age appropriate arts and sports. Ms. Kisamo also testified that the facility does have a play ground however, the equipment that the children use is not permanent at the moment, and is stored away after every use.
